Our short online course on Effective Use of Evidence will equip delegates with essential knowledge and skills to understand and use various forms of evidence in labour disputes to secure favourable outcomes. This half day course is intended for Initiators / Complainants, Chairpersons, HR Professionals, Managers, Employee Representatives and Union Reps.

Introduction – Understanding the effectiveness of Evidence used in context at CCMA/Bargaining Councils
Law of Evidence – Understanding the Basic Rules of Evidence
Types of Evidence – Unpacking the various Types of Evidence and their Uses
Evidence Admissibility, Weight & Effectiveness – Understanding the difference between Admissible and Inadmissible Evidence, Hearsay Evidence, and Using Evidence Effectively
Presenting & Corroborating Evidence – How to Present & Use Evidence Effectively and Corroborate through Credible Witnesses in Relation to the Dispute
Key Elements to Witness Testimony
Hearsay Evidence – Understanding when to Use Hearsay Evidence and when to Avoid it.

OUTCOMES

Understand the basic rules of using evidence in a hearing
Understand the various types of evidence and when to use these for greatest effectiveness
Acquire the necessary skills and techniques to present and corroborate evidence in relation to a dispute to gain favourable outcomes
