COURSE OVERVIEW
The Basic Labour Relations online course will equip delegates with essential knowledge and skills to understand and implement good practices as guided by the Basic Conditions of Employment and Labour Relations Act. This half day course is intended for HR Professionals, Managers, Supervisors and Union Reps.

Basic Conditions of Employment – an in-depth overview of all roles, requirements & responsibilities as set out by the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
The Code of Good Practice – understanding good practices in relation to dismissals as set out by the Labour Relations Act
The Disciplinary Code & Misconduct – understanding the importance of investigating allegations and how to take disciplinary action if required
Disciplinary Hearings – understanding Hearing requirements and steps
Employment Contracts – understanding types of contracts and the importance of contracts as defined by the Labour Relations Act
Trade Unions – understanding the role of Trade Unions
What is CCMA? – an overview of Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and its role
Q&A Session
